12. The song in my head

Today was one of the toughest and best days so far. 101 km, lots of wind, lots of hills....

Lots of rainy and lonely forest roads...

...beautiful farmlands with cool, derelict buildings...

...funky city shield signs passing by...

...and 50 kms of truck slalom at the end of the day.

The thing I liked most about the day was that my head was completely blank 98% of the time. No thoughts at all. Just the bike, the road, rehydrating, repeat.

On the remaining 2% of the time, when I was actually thinking of something, it was a certain song playing in my head: "Icepick - Onward to victory". The UFC entrance song of Andrei Arlovskij. Haven't thought about that song for the last 15 years, but today it decided to return. 😆
